Thanks to all for coming out last thursday night! Weather looked questionable, but it turned out to be a great sail! No snapped masts or shrouds, and neck and neck the whole way! 🙂 See you next Thursday!

Three boats out last night! Southerly winds made the second buoy almost dead center of the no sail zone, making for a demanding second leg! See you next Thursday!

We had two full crews last night at our weekly Thursday Night Sailing. Gusty winds at 10-15 knots made for some intense tacking on the upwind legs, heeling enough to get the leeward side just kissing 2 foot waves. Great sailing!

Ye should now be in the mood to come out and charter one of our boat rentals.  Ye will have a swashbuckling good time looking for Space Coast Treasure sailing the Atlantic Ocean, Banana River or Indian River near Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral, Cocoa Beach and Orlando area attractions.  Come on out!  We’ll have the decks swabbed for ye!

Beachside Sailing Students, Terry and Ange Benson, had such a great time on their recent trip to the BVIs they are making plans to return in October.  The couple took ASA Sailing Lessons from Beachside Sailing.  As members of our sailing club they took advantage of the boat rentals and honed their sailing skills in the Banana River and Atlantic Ocean near Merritt Island, Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach.  These are pictures of the Benson’s July trip.  We are very envious and look forward to pictures from the October charter!

Beachside Sailing’s weekly sail boat cruises will be this Thursday, Sept. 13th at 5:00 at Harbortown, Marina on Merritt Island.  We’ll be cruising the Banana River which is located between Merritt Island and Port Canaveral near Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beach.

The weather and sailing conditions should be good!
